Airbrush Experiment
I bought my own airbrush kit and air compressor for my first experiment and attempted to paint the grim reaper to practice getting used to the air brush gun. Part of the project's experiments was to try new things and explore.
Hockey Fight Airbrush
After painting the grim reaper I attempted some promotional art for hockey fighting, in my idea I wanted to show the blood and violence but at the same time the glory and satisfaction for the winning team. The fireworks represented the glory of the fights and in ice hockey winning a fight can be important for a team who might be losing the game as it boosts the player's confidences to work together to score the next goal.
3D Modelling Necklace
My main focus was 3D modelling using the software Cinema 4D. I came up with the idea to create chain necklaces with iconic symbols of fighting in ice hockey to use as promotional merchandise. My ideas evolved to including blood on teeth and sports equipment.
3D Modelling Puck and Teeth Trophy
More merchandise ideas lead me to developing a collectable trophy for fans of ice hockey which represented the fighting aspect of the sport by having bloody teeth resting on the base.
Hockey Jersey
The most popular product purchased by ice hockey fans are the team jerseys so I came up with a design that still involved a name, number and team logo but this included fun instructions for fighting, for example where to grab on the jersey to support your balance while standing and swinging.
Ice Hockey Chibi
Cute collectable versions of characters have become very popular in pop culture for example "Pop Vinyls". Because of this I came up with the idea to model characters of famous fighting ice hockey players from the NHL that can be collected by fans. I designed multiple figures to be in different fighting and celebration positions to help the product have more relevance to theme.
